Similar sounds
Similar sounds erupt these days. They come through window sills, vents, ventilators, the closed door and in agitated tones seek respites. I have none to offer. To understand is not to assuage. Other sounds make their difficult way through morning mists which overlap with smog until the clear and the unclear, the pure and impure, the clean and the sullied, is all one. These sounds seek love. I dont have that too and he who has nothing can give nothing and eventually forgets to take. To understand is not to requite. I have nothing to give but they keep coming, these sounds and their soundbearers, like mendicants who know all the secrets of worlds and worlds, but yet beg for little alms and yesterday's rice.

reminds me of gregory david roberts in shantaram...
voices haunt the mind & the mind yearns for these voices...
:)
i am not a fan of Shantaram. found it terribly repetitious. read 20 pages before i palmed it off to a friend who i knew wouldnt return it. though i think it will make a good movie because it has russell crowe and johnny depp in it.
ya, me 2 waitin for the movie not for russell tho, only for depp...
oh man forget shantaram, depp is hot!!! i have some kind of facination with his adam's apple. ( this has nothign to do with what i came here to write. But i think talking about depp is safer than recalling the sound i meet once a week in my world mythology class. yeah, some things are better not put into words, for there is always a fear of an echo if i sound it out.
so back to johnny....
:)
Reminds me of this lesson in CBSE English, something about the foghorn and this mysterious sound coming from the ocean that sought its lost love.
Been a while that I passed out of school, and the name of the lesson eludes... :(
humble devil: depp's much more versatile. i cant see crowe doing pirates of the carribean or don juan de marco. but you can imagine depp doing gladiator or a beautiful mind
ravali: if you meet the sound, listen to it, let it echo. what do you have to lose. those who have it must give.
poetess: i try my best to forget most things they taught me in school
